Apparently everyone has been emotional over the leavers bla3 at blog and facebook. One more week to go for us Salopians. It's not really a big deal for me, though I have to admit that I will feel more sad to leave Shrewsbury School than MS. A 'second it' to Rue, who wrote the same thing.
I usually mixed arnd with Bruneians only, and made just a few really close non-bruneian friends. The british here are sort of proud. Only dayboys and those who belong to my house will actually open up to me. The theory that we came up with is the rich ones r too proud and cant be bothered to mix arnd with us asians.
And as they have been friends since ages ago, I don't mean since third form, since prep school I mean coz nearly evry1 here came from this or that prep school. I could even name all of them coz it's just so common that we even had a chapel service for them with their parents and headmaster as special guests, so... it's quite hard to get into their group. I have bruneians group, so y should I bother to cause troubles to myself to suit into a strong group who have such different culture anyway.
Another second it to rue again for saying 'I would like to be part of the school since third form' or words of such effect. That's very true. I think over these two years, I have actually become smarter. I felt that I was exposed more to the real world of whatever I was learning: Bio, Chem, Maths, Music (piano). Freed from the syllabus, and reading stuffs which are not confined in the syllabus here, though still in the syllabus of CIE.
Before I came here, I didn't listen to classical music and watch videos of concerts at all. It's quite a shocker for me to actually accomplish grade 7 back in brunei. I just felt so dumb here, like I didnt know this and that famous piece, the history behind that composer, what's in the minds of the composer when he was composing that music.
I used to think that music is all about the scores; the score is absolute. I could only do rubato when the score said so. The truth is score is merely a guidance for notes, and it's left to the interpretation of the player to express the music. By listening to the musicians who have played the piece then helps us to shape our interpretation so it doesn't go too far off what the composer had intended to. That's my thoughts now.
I dunno why my post leads to this. I saw a few pic in fb abt some stuffs that ppl did in their last high school week. Lol, that will surely not happen here. The ppl here seriously hate camera. They will actually get damn pissed off if you try to take a photograph of them. Thus, I have a very few photos with them. The exception is when they are drinking.
There are few interesting things going on. My friends aim to shit in the toilets in all buildings during the summer term. I believe they have achieved that long ago.
Uni in a few mths time. Wtv tia. Fate will lead my way so I'm not going to think much.
Two mocks going on 2moro: FP3 and Biology Synoptic Paper. pfffffttttt. An annoying reminder that high school is not over yet.
